Vintage Vibes with What Goes Around Comes Around
Collecting vintage clothing is like owning pieces of art. It’s a part of fashion history inspired by brilliant designers like Chanel, Versace, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dior, Alaia, Hermes, to name a few. These creations span from decade to decade. The art of procuring these pieces has exploded onto the scene and anyone who loves vintage fashion knows the leading vintage luxury boutique What Goes Around Comes Around. This boutique has a keen eye for finding the most valuable, unimaginable pieces from iconic designers. Their excellent team has opulent taste with knowledge of each item from every brand that is inventoried in their boutique. What Goes Around Comes Around is filled with so many exciting pieces from a Dior saddle bag and luggage, to the original Zucca Fendi logo collection, and of course Louis Vuitton X Murakami multicolor monogram collectables.
It’s super trendy to engage in the conversation about vintage shopping, and the appetite for it has exploded. As a stylist, mixing vintage pieces with designer looks of the season is a lifestyle in itself. I decided to make What Goes Around Comes Around my playground. I paired designer brands like a Fendi logo sweater with a vintage high waisted pant. I also tried on the beautiful pale yellow John Galliano gown with a fridge open back detail. The icing on the cake was the Christian Dior black fitted jacket with belt straps, and the Comme Des Garcons crochet dress, which were both equally as magical.
Each section in the boutique tells the story of each designer and what they were feeling in that time, from past seasons. I was mesmerized by the pop of color from each brand with their iconic logos. Karl Lagerfeld has left us with so many great memories since Coco Chanel. This brings us back to the incredible Chanel jewelry curated in the boutique reminiscent of supermodels from the 80’s.
